SOUNDPAINTING
Soundpainting is a multidisciplinary sign-language used to compose in real time. This is the definition given by Walter Thompson, musician, composer, director and inventor of the soundpainting language. In practice, it is a tool used to communicate with an ensemble of artists in order to guide them through an improvised creation mixing music, theatre and visual arts.

This show has become very popular in the world, and in Colombia especially, where our friend and artist David Moncada’s company Improvisual has made it a staple of its shows. For the first time, Soundpainting is coming to Amsterdam with 3 exclusive shows.

On Friday, Echoes will explore the narrative aspect of soundpainting, telling one single story with the support of an entire cast of artists. On Saturday, the big full night of Soundpainting in its classic form, bringing you to dream and wander through various worlds and stories. On Sunday, as the show is a matinée, the focus will be on making it accessible to the whole family: more language free and focused on tales and adventures, with gorgeous music to accompany the show.

Pick the night you prefer, or come experience the three of them and live the full Soundpainting adventure with us!
